Diligence

I use AMD currently, but buy Intel sometimes too, whoever has the best deal at the time. Im more of a best bang for the buck kinda guy when it comes to computers, you can spend all kinds of money or just a little and get something that does the job well. My AMD althalon 2600 still runs EQ great and Ive had it a long time (it does choke somewhat on new games now though). Anyway, point is that prices drop so fast with new technology, I think its better to just get something below the top that will still do the job a long time, the difference in playability isnt going to be that much, but the cost can be significantly different. The only time I break this rule is for my work servers.

As for the west bug, I got it once or twice a long time ago when it was a big thing, then havent seen it until recently when most seem to be getting it again after whatever patch it was, and I seem to get it a lot more often now, seems to be more common when I havent rebooted for a long time.

I don't mind selling Intel or AMD machines. That's not an issue. AMD's are usually cheaper, and more 'bang for the buck' as it were.
